8 Questions To Ask When Buying CBD

Is the price too good to be true?

You don't have to buy spend a fortune on CBD, but chances are if the price looks too good to be true then it is probably an inferior CBD product.

How much CBD is really inside the bottle?

Look for either the % or mg of CBD in the product. This should be clearly labelled on the front

What testing has been carried out?

Before buying CBD oil, check to what testing is carried out by the manufacturer & if the testing, usually called Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is available for download on the website.

What extraction method has been used? Co2 or Alcohol

The best CBD oils are extracted using safe solvents like supercritical CO₂.  Avoid CBD oils made using chemicals like propane, butane, pentane, or hexane because this will result in nasty contaminants being left behind in the product

Where is the hemp Grown?

The hemp plant is super-efficient at absorbing all the vitamin & minerals from the soil it grows in. However, the flip side of this that it also readily absorbs the lead, petroleum, or toxic chemicals which can be in the soil in some hemp field. It’s always best to look for CBD that is grown organically without pesticides

Does it use the whole plant extracts, not just CBD isolates?

Full Spectrum CBD is the best as it is made using the whole plant. Whilst Isolates are pure CBD, they are often made from poor quality materials & don’t contain the other terpenes & cannabinoids found in full spectrum oil

What is the THC %?

The UK legal limit for THC is 0.03% or less & products must be tested to ensure they do not contain higher levels as it is the THC that causes the feeling of intoxication.
