Dave LeGrys who is well known on the cycling circuit has shown that he is still the man to beat even at 54 years of age. Dave, an avid user of Udos Choice Ultimate Oil Blend, has just returned from two events in Australia with 2 Gold Medals AND 2 World records!
The first of the two prestigous events was the 2009 World Masters Olympic Games where he won Gold in the Sprint Time Trial as well as setting a new world record. Dave unfortunately got food poisoning 3 days before this event and yet still managed to ride the 500 metre Time Trial and broke the world record in a time of 34.6 seconds.
The following week, still not feeling 100% he attended the UCI World Masters Track Championships. He debated whether to race or not as he was not feeling atall well.. he decided in the end to race the 500 metre Time trial as planned. Dave said "I basically focussed on the positives, dialled in during my warm up and got into the zone blocking out all negative thinking and how i felt. I was like a man possessed and went onto the line to give it everything i had. Dave's first lap was 19.1 seconds and going into the last banking of the velodrome he "blew" for the first time ever with exhaustion and slowed but even then managed to keep up the pace enough to win AND beat his own world record with a time of 34.4 seconds.
Dave said afterwards, "I don’t know how I even managed that, I felt so weak leading up to the event and on the day but sometimes you can overcome anything, although the reason I blew was defiantly down to my illness as it left me fatigued even before I raced. I so wanted to do a 33 second ride and I would have done so had I not been unwell, it would have put the record on the shelf, having said that, my diet is good and the supplements I take all help"

We congratulate Dave on this extraordinary feat. He has consistently shown that no matter what your age you can still be a world beater by training, dedication and diet.
